This video captures the process of exploring graffiti tagging in an entirely new context while staying within the constraints of the graf writer's environment. Several notions emerged from the piece, one notion focuses on the duality of the graffiti writer's form of expression, playing with the idea of permanence and impermanence, and the other explores the ephemeral qualities of light and hand-scribed street typography. Tools: Light-safe paint marker on glass, Adobe After Effects, iPod Video, projector, external Battery and two Mini-DV cameras. Shouts out to big Steve Gurr on the help out.
